been in the amateur ranks for long. Nevertheless, they looked very
well trained and were zipping in and out between the other couples
in the Quickstep of the quarterfinal. There is certainly potential
for the future. Perhaps Norway has found a couple to carry on their
proud tradition of Standard dancing? Pia should move her pelvic
slightly forward and elongate her spine futher and Tom-Erik needs
to put his arms further forward." |

(Norway) well that sure is a terrific to see as I watch the basic
understanding of the technical use of legs and feet from this young
coulple… As they dance I see that they have been coached in
the fundamental understanding of these axpects which must be cherished
… for example the use of pointed toes on conclusion of rises
in Waltz, the action of the hinge of knee and the use of ankles
to create movement from the standing foot. They will get some excellent
results in future if not today … They in fact did get a great
result today and were delighted … proves that technique is
recognised and marked when danced at a good level.” |
